Connect Claude (web, desktop, mobile)

Add FlaMap once on claude.ai. Claude Desktop uses the same connector.

Before you start

  • A FlaMap account, and access to its email inbox.
  • A Claude account on any plan. On the Free plan you can have one custom connector. If you already have one, remove it first.
  • About five minutes.

Steps

  1. Open claude.ai in a browser and sign in.

  2. Open Customize, then Connectors.

  3. Select +, then Add custom connector.

  4. Name it FlaMap and paste this URL:

    https://api.flamap.app/mcp

    Leave Advanced settings empty. FlaMap needs no client ID or secret.

  5. Select Add.

  6. Select Connect next to FlaMap. A page on flamap.app opens.

  7. Sign in to FlaMap (Google or an emailed code). If you use a code and it does not arrive, check spam; you can ask for a new code after 60 seconds.

  8. Read what Claude is asking for and where your data goes. Tick the consent box (Approve stays greyed out until you do), then select Approve.

  9. You are back on claude.ai, and FlaMap shows as connected.

Check that it works

  1. Start a new chat.
  2. Select + at the bottom left of the message box, then Connectors, and make sure FlaMap is turned on.
  3. Ask: "Using FlaMap, what is my FTP?"

Claude asks permission the first time it calls a FlaMap tool. Allow it. The answer should show your FTP as set in FlaMap, and your estimated FTP over recent months.

"Using FlaMap, how has my riding changed over the last three months? Volume, climbing and eFTP."

Claude Desktop and the mobile app

Sign in with the same Claude account. The connector you added on claude.ai is available there too. Turn it on per chat, as above.

Disconnect

In Claude: Customize → Connectors → FlaMap → Remove (or the three-dot menu). Claude stops calling FlaMap.

In FlaMap: open flamap.app/settings/ai-assistants and revoke Claude. Claude can then no longer renew its sign-in, so access ends within an hour, even if the connector is still in Claude.

If something goes wrong

  • Claude will not let you add the connector: on the Free plan you can have only one custom connector, and you already have one. Remove it, or upgrade.
  • The connector says it needs to reconnect: select Connect again and sign in to FlaMap.
